Project team

The Project Team is lead by Dr. Dean Jackson (project management) and consists of the leaders of the four remaining work packages and representatives from each of the participating groups. The University of Manchester is responsible for management of the project. This is a complex task, which ensures that the project aims are met on time and on budget.

The scientific components of EPI vector are broken down into four tightly focused work packages, each with an assigned lead PI.

Project Support team

The role of the Project Support Team is to support the project team in all tasks and issues that are not directly related to research and development. Major aspects include: preparation of contracts; financial regulation; managing intellectual property; general administration of the project and managing ethical issues.

Ethical issues within EPI-vector will be controlled by Dr Charles A. Erin and his team. Dr Erin is a Senior Lecturer in Applied Philosophy and Fellow of Institute of Medicine, Law and Bioethics at The Centre for Social Ethics & Policy, University of Manchester . His special interests are in Bioethics and the application of advanced biological principles to biomedicine.
